The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) provides a unique pathway for immigration assistance for women who have been victims of maltreatment by their spouses, companions, or family members. VAWA permits eligible individuals in order to apply for a copyright independent of the need for sponsorship from their abuser. To be eligible for VAWA, you must
